Feldgrau.com and the Axis History Forum. Who are they? On the surface these web sites seem like informative sources of World War II Axis information but once you dig deeper, as we have, you will see that both web sites are ripe areas for revisionist history and neo-Nazi preaching.
One needs only a few moments of perusing the threads on both sites before arriving at the elementary conclusion that both hubs are operated by amateurs. The threads contain very little accurate information and the so-called “experts” on these sites tend to pin their “expertise” on what they’ve learned from watching Hogan’s Heroes, old episodes of Rat Patrol, Hollywood versions of films and what they read in old Sergeant Rock comic books.
Feldgrau is the more amusing of the two web sites. They boast of having a “management” which is nothing more than a pseudo-style “World of Warcraft” guild. In fact many of these so-called “managers” and “experts” immerse themselves in video games, science fiction models and other juvenile activities. Not at all what one would expect from “history experts” and “managers of information”.
Lets examine the similarities between the web sites and Nazism. Both web sites use a pressure system wherein the veteran members denounce anyone who offers an opposing view to what the so-called “experts” and “managers” have posted. Denouncing one’s detractors was a vital tool in the Nazi regime as well.
The Feldgrau and Axis History “managers” accuse others of using “sock puppets” when in fact both sites use a network of veteran members to produce negative propaganda to influence people who don’t know any better. The Nazi regime also used negative propaganda to influence people.
A Feldgrau and Axis History member called “Ornebridges” trolls the internet in search of depraved sexual practices. We believe that Dateline NBC’s Chris Hansen would have a field day with this individual. But, the Nazi regime was also comprised of serial perverts and homosexuals.
Both web sites take active roles in banning books, pamphlets and materials that contain the truth about the Holocaust. The Nazi regime also banned books and anything that opposed its subversive aims.
There are very few (actually no) “managers” of these so-called web sites that have any real formal education in this field. Those that pretend to (Like the laughable Anthony Munoz0,) distort, bend, alter and pervert the facts to suit their own interpretations. When they’re called on such heinous behavior they whine and cry like skin-kneed little schoolgirls.
In short, Feldgrau.com and the Axis History Forums are jokes that should be taken lightly. Anyone looking for credible information on World War II or the Axis Powers should avoid these web sites at all costs. But by all means visit both of them when you need a good laugh. They should be power ranked as the web’s leading Joke Sites.
